Looking for a Zoho Partner in Vietnam?
What you need to know
What is a Zoho Partner?
A Zoho Partner is an official partner certified by Zoho and assigned to a territory.
To become a Zoho Partner, a company must be a registered legal entity with technical capability, a business plan and an operations team.
When do you need a Zoho Partner?
A Zoho Partner can help you with the following
Zoho product advice
Helps you choose the apps and license plans that fit your needs
Requirements gathering and software implementation
If you don't have a team, or you need a fast, professional implementation, send your requirements to a partner. They will propose a plan and quote the time and cost.
Buying Zoho software licenses
You can pay Zoho directly or through a partner.
-
Paying Zoho: Zoho is a foreign company with no office in Vietnam, so you will need to declare and pay foreign contractor tax to record the software cost.
-
Paying through a partner: The partner pays Zoho and is responsible for declaring and paying foreign contractor tax. The partner also issues you a full VAT invoice. If you pay through Optimus, the foreign contractor tax is 0%.
Support while you use the software
When you need help with questions, issues or errors in Zoho software, you can contact Zoho Support directly by email or chat. You will need to communicate in English, and Zoho usually replies within 1-2 days.
Or you can contact a Zoho Partner in Vietnam, communicate in Vietnamese and possibly get faster support (depending on each partner's policy).
Guidance for implementing the software yourself
If you have a technical team familiar with implementing software, the partner can guide them and send reference materials so you can implement it yourself.
How can you confirm that a company is a Zoho Partner?
One of a Zoho Partner's roles is to help you buy software licenses. Paying a company that is not a Zoho Partner can be very costly. Here is how to check whether a company is a Zoho Partner:
-
Option 1: Search for the partner's name at https://www.zoho.com/partners/find-partner.html. If you find it and the company name, domain and address match, it is a genuine Zoho Partner. For example, here is Optimus's Zoho Partner page
-
Option 2: Email Zoho. If you can't find it at the link above, it may still be a Zoho Partner that doesn't yet meet the criteria to be listed on Zoho's website. You can ask Zoho to confirm.
What is partner tagging?
When you work with a Zoho Partner, you may be asked to tag the partner. This tells Zoho which partner is directly supporting your company, so Zoho can work with that partner to support you (for example, when the partner speaks to Zoho Support on your behalf to fix a technical issue you are facing).
Tagging a partner is also required if you buy licenses through that partner. The partner can only activate your account once it is tagged.
How to tag a partner
Option 1: Use a partner code
Every Zoho Partner has its own fixed code (Optimus's code is OPTIMUS). The partner sends you the code, you go here, choose the apps you need the partner's help with, enter the partner code and click save.
Option 2: Partner tagging link
Every partner has its own tagging link (for example, here is Optimus's link). When you click it, the partner code is filled in for you. Just choose the apps you need the partner's help with, check the partner code and click save.
How to give a Zoho Partner access
When working with a partner, the partner's technician needs an account with admin rights to review and configure your company's Zoho portal. There are several ways to give a partner access:
Option 1: Share an admin account
-
Share access to an existing admin account. Just send the email address used to sign in to the admin account. The partner uses Login with email OTP, then you send them the OTP so they can sign in. The session stays valid for 6 months, after which the partner needs to sign in again.
-
With this option you don't need to share your password, and you can end the session at any time by going to Zoho Accounts and signing out of other devices.
-
This is the most common way to give access.
Option 2: Give access to a separate account
-
If you want the partner to use a separate account that isn't tied to any other user, you can buy an extra user for the partner and give that user admin rights. This adds the cost of one user, so it is less common.
Option 3: Sandbox
-
With the Sandbox feature in Zoho CRM Enterprise and above, or the CRM in Zoho One, you can create a sandbox (a dev environment) to build and test new features. The sandbox copies the configuration and part of the data from Production (your live environment). Once development and testing are done, the changes are deployed from the sandbox to Production.
-
With this option you can give the partner a dev account (at no cost) with access to the sandbox.
-
Building features in a sandbox has some limits. Only use this option if your CRM is already fairly complex and has run stably for a long time, or if the new features are complex and need testing across many different scenarios.
