Latest Updates to Facebook Advertising Terms for 2023

Facebook will start applying new advertising terms in January 2023. Below are the changes from the old 2022 terms.
1. Testing Facebook ads on personal profiles. Switch your profile to professional mode, and posts will have a button to create an ad. (This feature is still being tested, is only available to some accounts, and allows anyone to advertise.) Ads will be especially effective for KOLs and KOCs with a quality following.

2. If your ad account has an outstanding balance, an additional fee will be charged after payment (about 1%). For example, you reach the 9,000,000 VND threshold but leave it unpaid. When you then pay 9,000,000 VND, the amount due jumps to 9,090,000 VND (including the percentage fee on the outstanding balance).
3. Some accounts have started receiving the new ad account interface. If you want to use the old interface, you can click Settings to change it.
4. Some new accounts will need to add money to their ad accounts to run ads (known as prepaid ad accounts). If a prepaid account is disabled or permanently restricted for any reason, the remaining money in your account will not be refunded.
5. Your ads must comply with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as well as Facebook's advertising policies. Failure to comply can have several consequences, including cancellation of ads you have placed and disabling your account. This is an old term, but it is important enough to repeat here.
