YouTube Teams Up with Shopee to Launch YouTube Shopping and Compete with TikTok Shop

YouTube and Shopee are taking on the giant TikTok directly by introducing an online shopping service called YouTube Shopping.

YouTube and Shopee recently announced the launch of "Shopping on YouTube," which lets users buy products featured on YouTube through links to Shopee and lets content creators link Shopee products directly in their videos.

YouTube Shopping works similarly to adding a shopping cart on TikTok Shop, but will only accept products from Shopee.

YouTube Shopping is already available in the US and South Korea, with plans to expand to Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand and Vietnam in the next few weeks (according to Reuters).
