Introducing Opportunity Score in Facebook Ads

Contents
1. What is Opportunity Score?
Opportunity Score actually reflects the potential to apply delivery recommendations to your ads. It is rated on a scale from 0 to 100 and shows the overall optimization level of campaigns, ad sets and ads.
2. How does Meta calculate Opportunity Score for an ad account?
Meta says the estimated Opportunity Score varies depending on factors such as the advertising campaign objective, aggregated industry insights and more.
Meta does not give a specific calculation method, but the bottom line is: "If you apply every recommendation Meta provides, your Opportunity Score will be 100."
3. Does Opportunity Score accurately reflect ad performance?
In theory, if you follow all of Meta's recommendations, your Opportunity Score will be 100. But a score of 100 does not mean perfect ad performance, and vice versa.
If your ads are performing well, think carefully before changing them. But if an ad performs poorly, review and consider Meta's recommendations.
4. Where can you find Opportunity Score?
You can find it in 2 places in Ads Manager: Account overview and the campaign table view.
In the campaign table view
