1. What is the gBraid parameter?
gBraid is a URL parameter (&gBraid={gBraid}). When you add gBraid, Google Ads automatically appends the gBraid parameter to all URLs in your campaign, enabling conversion measurement on iOS 14.5+.
2. Benefits of the gBraid parameter
- Track campaign performance after adding gBraid (deep-linked Search, Shopping, Display and Performance Max ads on iOS)
- Measure key metrics such as conversions, sales and other user actions on your website, even for iOS users who have opted out of personalized advertising.
3. How to enable gBraid in a Google Ads campaign
Step 1: Sign in to your Google Ads account
Step 2: Select the campaign where you want to enable gBraid
Step 3: Select the Settings tab, scroll down to Additional settings and click Tracking
In the Tracking template field, add the gBraid parameter “gclid=GBRAID” (without quotation marks) to your URL.
- Example: https://www.example.com/?gclid=GBRAID
- Note: Make sure you replace https://www.example.com/ with your actual landing page URL
Step 5: Save to apply the changes.
